Play-led, phonics-anchored, outdoors every day whatever the temperature allows.
Wexford House has capped its roll at 740 since 1998. One form of entry per year, a 1:9 teacher ratio, and every fee published on this page.
Most schools in the city grew as fast as the city did. Wexford House decided in 2004 to stop at one form of entry per year group and has turned down every expansion since.
The result is a school where the head teaches a weekly lesson to every year group, where form tutors stay with a class for three years, and where a parent can reach the person who actually taught the lesson.
One school, one site, one set of expectations from age three to eighteen.
Play-led, phonics-anchored, outdoors every day whatever the temperature allows.
English National Curriculum, specialist teaching for music, sport and Arabic from Year 1.
Nine or ten IGCSEs, chosen in Year 9 after a term of taster lessons in every option.
Three A Levels plus an EPQ, with weekly university guidance from Year 12.
Pick a year group, tick anything optional, and the total updates. Nothing here is hidden until registration.
Tuition is billed in three equal termly instalments.
“The head knew our son's name on the second visit, before he had even been offered a place.”
“They told us in Year 9 that his target grades were optimistic. They were right, and they were right to say so.”
“Three A Levels, an EPQ, and a form tutor who wrote a reference that actually sounded like her.”
We do not run staged open days. Tours are on weekdays at 09:30 and 13:30, in the middle of lessons, with pupils showing you round.
